Tune in for regular updates of our wonderful adopter Neil who has just arrived all the way up on Scotland from the South of the U .
Just a few days ago Neil messaged me " from the 11th September I'm away on holiday with lola. Taking her up to Scotland for 12 days, we are wild camping and walking around Loch ness amongst other places. xx
I was so excited for both of them!!
Lola was born in the rescue centre when we rescued her Mum from the street. She was at huge risk of being captured. She had 4 babies shortly after of which 3 survived, all now are adopted and in wonderful homes.
Neil and Dorota adopted Lola as a pup and she soon became Neil's shadow. Soon to follow they also adopted Teddy who is staying home with Dorota.
It's 23.25 on Wednesday night and Neil has just messaged me his first update for his travel blog:
"Scotland trip - Day one sunny and heavy rain intervals
Late start as was still packing this morning, and running around getting last minute panic items. Then over to
Image & identity in salisbury to pick up the tshirts, hoodie, coat and flag that have been created for me by Chantell and Richard. All the shirts have been embroidered and look fantastic with the saksd logo.
Hit the road about 1300 onto the a303 from salibsury, stuck in traffic as always by stonehendge 😀 4hr 54 min, 238 mile drive up to morcombe where I'm staying over night.
Several wee stops for lola along the way, and she slept for most of the journey.
Filled the car up at 1.59 per gallon before journey, found it at 1.37 per gallon near morcombe 😀
Arrived at a place called golden ball, where we are staying for the night, which sits on the waters edge, so straight away got lola out for a quick walk to stretch our legs, as I'm tired after driving and lola full of energy after being asleep for best part of 6 hours.
Checked in, went to the room so Lola could go zoomies as she in a new place 😀 fed her dinner then did some name and fetch work with the peanut butter teats that Jackie honour have given me for Lola for her holiday, and then decided to grab some dinner but the restaurant was closed
So being a seaside town I thought down the chippy i go. Not one chippy was open by the time i got down there with lola, so grabbed a quick pizza.
Took lola for a 3 mile walk round morcombe in the dark
Back to golden ball hotel in morcombe for 1030, shower and bed
Tomorrow going to be early start as got 324 miles to go up to Inverness. "
Also had a quick catch up with Lewis, Max (was Gideon) the blind Shepherd dog, and a quick update for Julie at SAKSDOG.
LOOK OUT FOR NEIL & LOLA'S NEXT UPDATE !
