We have a wonderful team that work tirelessly and selflessly to save dogs from the awful kill shelters of Romania.  We all have rescue dogs ourselves and have been involved in Dog Rescue for many years.  We work purely as volunteers, we do not get paid and have to fit rescuing around our other full time jobs and family commitments, which means we dedicate what little time we have for ourselves to rescuing dogs instead.

We strongly believe that the rescue of a dog from a kill shelter is only just the start of that dogs rescue, and indeed what follows is a lot of work that is tailored to suit the needs of each individual dog. We rescue dogs from kill shelters (and also abandoned dogs off the street) and follow a  process that ensures the best care and every chance is made possible of having a happy new life in a forever home for every single dog.

As a team we work together to decide which shelters to rescue from and which dogs are in desperate need. This is a very difficult decision as ALL dogs are in need, however we often rescue dogs that are suffering the most because they are ill or old, unwanted or not rescued by other rescuers, or indeed only have a day or so until they will be killed, so sometimes our decision making has to be instant.

Together we work to raise the funds to rescue and pay to keep the dogs safe in the rescue centre. We rely completely on donations.

We are proud of the fact that we are one of very few DEFRA APPROVED IMPORTERS and use a regulated indoor centre (not an out door shelter) that has a regulated Traces Centre and one of the very best Regulated Transport which forms part of the Rescue Centre. We also have a vet onsite to ensure all our dogs are treated as and when needed but also as soon as we rescue a dog we have it fully assessed so that we can meet the immediate needs.

For all adoptions and fosters, we fully support throught the entire process fromm application to settling in the new home, and we also offer Rescue Back Up.

Our mission is to help as many dogs that are suffering as we can and often that means the dogs that need a lot of care and treatment to make well. As a result we always have high vet bills and rely fully on the kindness of donations to pay these costs.

​

To ensure safe and well keeping we house our dogs in one of Romanias Top Pet Centres where we also go and visit to assess the dogs. This centre is expensive in comparison to other typical shelters in Romania but as a team we feel it is absolutely necessary that our dogs who are often very frail and ill have the safety of an indoor centre protecting them from the sub zero temperatures in the winter and over 40 degrees in the summer. They have a playgriund and extensive gardens that they exercise in.

 

We wouldn't be able to rescue dogs if it wasn't for all the amazing support we get, the team are so overwhelmed by the wonderful supporrt that we get.
